Our fascination with the great red Burgundies comes from the singular aromatics and complexities that are born in unique vineyards but a few kilometers apart. It is why we undertook the challenge and risk to focus on each specific clone of Pinot Noir that is best in harmony with each vineyard site – our Single Vineyard, Single Clone, and Single Cooperage wines – MonoClone^®.

We talk about the legendary Burgundies because they are the benchmarks and what inspires and drives our madness. Our dream was simply to be in the conversation one day. As we introduce 2015 vintage to you, our years of effort are clearly showing up in the glass where it counts.

Tasting Notes 

Le Regard / The Look
Scintillating Ruby clarity and luminosity; brilliant and textural like a deep Raspberry/ Boysenberry Baccarat Crystal. 

Le Nez / The Nose
Sensual aromatics of intoxicating red fruits (raspberries, groseilles, tart cherries) layered with dusty rose petals, floral, a touch of mustiness lifted by cardamom interlaced with tea leaves. As the wine evolves in the glass or decanter, the aromatics become more focused with caramelized red fruit compote aromatics, superbly elegant and pure, adding vanilla and a hint of graphite.

Degustation / The Taste
The front palate delivers extraordinary energy and lift with a mouth full of chewy, freshly picked tart red fruits. This is a racy wine, high pitch layers of crushed raspberries, cranberries, and pomegranate compote. The mid-palate is graced with a superb micro-texture laced with toasted cedar, black tea, cardamom, vanilla, and dry herbal aromatics, all in exquisite balance and harmony. Nouveau Monde perfectly defines the paradox that is Pinot Noir – Concentration, density, verve, yet extremely sensual and elegant. The back end of the wine is infinite in its length, created by the natural pure acidity of the tart red fruit component, all with poise and precise tannins.
