2017 Lune et Soleil Sauvignon Blanc

Keeping Didier’s dream alive.

Inspired by the great late Didier Dagueneau, Lune et Soleil is crafted from a single organically farmed vineyard. The wine is 100% pressed whole clusters and aged in 600 Liter barrique of special thick staves to minimize oxygen transfer and there is no malolactic fermentation to preserve acidity, verve, and length.

Lune et Soleil is a true expression of Soliste wines – Exceptional vineyards, meticulous grape selection, elegant balance of acidity and aromatics, to create wines of great complexity and finesse. 

Tasting Notes

The wine reveals elegant aromas of passion fruit, guava, exotic white flowers, tart pineapple rind, oyster shell minerals, with a whiff of salty ocean mist. The precise and delicate tropical aromas are followed seamlessly from the nose by an unctuous taste of tart passion fruit, guava, lychee and pomelo rinds giving the wine a fantastic vivacity and texture. The middle palette shows great weight and finesse, with focused aromas of lemon curd, kaffir lime zest, moving into a long razor sharp, Sancerre like finish of salty oyster minerals, granite river stones and citrus crush.
